Levels of Organization

written by Mrs. Naylor

Sixth grade science students study about levels of organization from the tiniest cell all the way up to the complex biosphere of Planet Earth. Their task was to create a mobile that illustrates this concept.  The sixth graders each gave an oral presentation that explained their projects.

Joe’s mobile had a ranchland theme.  The biome he chose was rolling hills covered in lush grass.  The ecosystem included a river, rocks, land, and animals.  The community of animals included cattle, cattle egrets, and rabbits.  The population he focused on was cattle.  He then had illustrations for organ systems, organs, tissues, and cells.  As always, Joe put his own special touch on his project.
