Welcome to Coach Gowens' Classroom
....Teaching Jr High Social Studies
This is the third year at Pawnee for Coach Gowens. He lives in Nordheim, Texas where he graduated from high school. Coach Gowens has worked other jobs prior to teaching, including working for Child Protective Services. He went to college and graduated in 2002 from Texas A&M at Corpus Christi, Texas, with a desire to work with and to help kids. His years of teaching and coaching at Pawnee has had him working with grades 4 through 8. As the boys basketball and track coach, he coaches 5th through 8th grades; however, this year he will begin teaching the Jr High social studies classes while also continuing to teach his 3rd and 4th grade P.E. class. Coach Gowens believes that the only way our world can be a better place is with our kids and it all starts with us. We have to challenge our children and push them to see beyond their potential.
