Chocolate Chip
Cookies
Always ask an adult to help
you with this recipe!
INGREDIENTS:
- 3 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
- 3/4 tsp baking soda
- 3/4 tsp salt
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1 1/4 cup brown sugar

- 3/4 cup shortening
- 1/2 cup and 2 tbsp butter
- 3 large eggs
- 1 1/2 tsp vanilla
- 1 cup chocolate chips

INSTRUCTIONS:
- Blend first 5 ingredients for 2 minutes in mixer on low
speed.
- Add the next 4 ingredients in a separate bowl.
- Add flour mixture slowly to butter mixture.
- Portion in 2 tbsp of dough on a sheet pan.
- Bake at 375 degrees in the oven for 10-12 minutes.
(If using a convection oven then bake at 325 degrees for 6-8
minutes.)
- Cool for 1 minute. Remove from sheet pan.
