Chocolate Chip Cookies

 


Always ask an adult to help you with this recipe!


INGREDIENTS:

  • 3 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 3/4 tsp baking soda
  • 3/4 tsp salt
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 3/4 cup shortening
  • 1/2 cup and 2 tbsp butter
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 1/2 tsp vanilla
  • 1 cup chocolate chips

INSTRUCTIONS:

  1. Blend first 5 ingredients for 2 minutes in mixer on low speed.
  2. Add the next 4 ingredients in a separate bowl.
  3. Add flour mixture slowly to butter mixture.
  4. Portion in 2 tbsp of dough on a sheet pan.
  5. Bake at 375 degrees in the oven for 10-12 minutes.  (If using a convection oven then bake at 325 degrees for 6-8 minutes.)
  6. Cool for 1 minute.  Remove from sheet pan.
