Lego Robotics

The 5th -8th graders attending the 21st Century Grant Summer Camp are building and programming robots using the Lego Mindstorms NXT System.  Students are working with partners, following instructions, and building complex mobile robots that have sound, light, motion, and touch sensors.  The robots are programmable using the NXT “brain” which is incorporated into the design.  “This is so awesome!” and “This is so fun!” are comments heard by the instructor, Mrs. Naylor.  The robots will be on display in the science lab during the open house scheduled for July 2, 2009.
