Early College High School
PAWNEE EARLY COLLEGE HIGH SCHOOL
Early College High Schools (ECHS) are open-enrollment high schools whose purpose is to allow students that are least likely to attend college with an opportunity to receive both a high school diploma and either an associate degree or at least 60 credit hours toward a baccalaureate degree. Early College High Schools:
- Enroll Historically underserved students, targeting at-risk and economically disadvantaged
- Provide dual credit at no cost to students
- Offer rigorous instruction and accelerated courses
- Provide academic and social support services to help students succeed
- Provide students with highly personalized attention
- Increase college readiness
- Partner with Texas institutions of higher education (IHEs) to reduce barriers to college access

- Student Cost - program will be offered at no cost to students.
- School Location - Pawnee ISD, 6229 FM 798, Pawnee, TX 79145. Our Early College HS campus is located within Pawnee High School in a school within a school format.
- Student Cohorts - ECHS students shall be placed in a cohort for core classes to the extent possible; this does not exclude non-ECHS students from enrolling in the same class(es).
- Flexible Scheduling - The ECHS program provides flexible, individualized scheduling that allows students the opportunity to earn a high school diploma and enables a student to combine high school course and college-level courses with the goal of earning an associate degree or up to 60 semester credit hours toward a baccalaureate degree.
- Pawnee ISD is a TSI assessment site.
