Today, Diana Lopez, author who wrote the novel adaptation of Disney's award winning movie Coco, visited Pawnee Elementary/Jr High where she shared her first ever picture book, Sing with Me-The Story of Selena Quintanilla with the students and staff. The students enjoyed an entertaining presentation of her book, learned fun facts about Selena, and learned about Mrs. Lopez's journey and hard work in becoming a published author. Students were inquisitive, enspired, and thoroughly enjoyed their morning with Mrs. Lopez. Later that afternoon she met with all English Language Arts teachers and taught them fun and creative techniques on how to teach reading and writing skills to their students. It was an amazing experience for the students and staff of Pawnee ISD. Thank you Mrs. Lopez!

The students had a busy day! Prosperity Bank stopped by to do a lesson on financial literacy and career awareness to 4-8 grade.
Thank you to Prosperity Bank for coming out today!

Mrs. Hubbert’s class created some place value questions, then stopped by second grade to quiz them today!
