🔥 BIG NEWS from our classroom! 🔥
✍️ We have not one… not two… but THREE award-winning writers from Pawnee ISD! 🎉
🏆 Our students placed in the Abydos/Dana K. Barber Writing Awards, and we are beyond proud:
🥇 Paytin Elliot – 1st Place
🥈 Ma’Cheleann Holmes – 2nd Place
🥉 Dylan Lopez – 3rd Place
These students competed with writers from across the region, and their work rose to the top!
This is what happens when students are given the opportunity to think, create, and write with purpose. Their voices matter—and the world is taking notice. 💬✨
❤️ Way to go, Pawnee Indians! ❤️
💙 Drop a comment to help us celebrate these amazing writers!

The 2nd grade class planted seeds in January and have officially harvested their first vegetables of the season! 🐛🧑🌾
During group with Ms. Kristin, Pre-K students engaged in exercises that stimulated the vagus nerve, encouraged crossing the body’s midline, activated the core, and required focused attention to support emotional regulation.

Emily James and Ma'Teah Holmes took 3rd place at the JH Tennis District Meet! Congratulation's to all our athletes that participated at the tennis District meet.

How you can help your child succeed this test week:

☔During equine group with Ms. Kristin, 6th grade students chose to embrace the rain instead of engaging with the horses. They explored the Steel Tongue Drum and listened to the soothing sounds created by the rainfall. ☔

Mrs. Kasper's class spent time outside writing thesis sentences 📃

First-grade students had the opportunity to engage in mounted work with equine partner Porter. This experience supports the development of emotional regulation, increases self-awareness, and strengthens both personal connection and the bond between horse and rider.
