Digital citizenship is an important part of education since we are increasingly teaching using web resources and other web-based technologies. Being a good digital citizen means following the rules of appropriate technology use and knowing what responsible and appropriate online behavior is. We want to promote 21st century skills while making ethical and respectful decisions about our digital footprints. There are many issues that face us today that we need to be vigilant in teaching ourselves and children about.
